Your Role:

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is tasked with delivering and overseeing comprehensive nursing care to designated age-specific populations. This role involves utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to meet departmental objectives. Compliance with the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and adherence to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations is essential. The RN will actively engage in providing outstanding customer service and fostering respectful relationships with all stakeholders.

Key Contributions:

· NURSING EXPERTISE: Demonstrates proficiency in assessing and interpreting diagnostic information relevant to patient demographics and conditions, including lab results and monitoring data. Nursing practice reflects a thorough understanding of diagnoses, procedures, medications, complications, and equipment pertinent to the patient population.

· PATIENT SAFETY: Nursing practice embodies knowledge and adherence to all applicable regulatory standards. Strict infection control measures are followed, and medication safety policies are upheld. The RN prioritizes patient education and seizes opportunities to enhance understanding in line with care plans.

· EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION: Enhances patient experiences by adhering to compassion and professional standards, fostering strong nurse-patient relationships through effective communication with patients, families, and visitors. The RN utilizes appropriate techniques and resources to ensure understanding and collaborates effectively with the interdisciplinary team.

· ACCURATE DOCUMENTATION: Exhibits proficiency in documenting and accessing patient information in electronic medical records in accordance with policy. Ensures timely and accurate documentation of all procedures and assessments, adhering to standards of care and departmental guidelines.

Qualifications Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current valid State of Florida or multistate Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) as required by specialty/unit.
  • EKG competency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Professional Certification.
