Job Summary

The Instructional Designer creates educational projects, courses, and workshops to educate faculty and staff on designing, developing, and delivering high-quality online instruction through effective instructional design processes supported by emerging educational technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops upskilling educational projects for faculty on trends in instructional design and learning technologies, including data research, expert interviews, and competitive analysis of best practices.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to communicate project information to the target audience through various channels.
  • Consults with university faculty to plan and design courses, including finalizing course goals, learning objectives, and media and technology plans.
  • Provides quality assurance for developed courses to ensure high standards in learning design, accessibility, and course consistency.
  • Develops and delivers training for faculty and staff on instructional design best practices, such as ADDIE, gamification, and microlearning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus three years of related professional experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of instructional design theories and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of trending approaches, technologies, and standards in higher education, including gamification, project-based learning, and AI services.
  • Strong project management skills, including time management, prioritization, and goal achievement.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading, editing, and presentation development.
