Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Specialist to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role requires a strong commitment to patient monitoring, adherence to care plans, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Monitor patients' health by observing and reporting changes in their condition.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with memory care needs or dementia.
  • Implement care plans tailored to each client's specific requirements, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community programs as appropriate.
  • Administer CPR and first aid when necessary, ensuring the safety of all clients.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and home community care practices is beneficial.
  • Bi-lingual, Driver, CPR/First Aid, Food handler's card, Nurse Delegation
  • Familiarity with memory care strategies and dementia care is a plus.
  • Ability to develop and follow individualized care plans effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • CPR certification is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
  • Must demonstrate compassion, patience, and reliability in all interactions with clients.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Serengeti Care supports people of all ages in the comfort of their own homes.
