Patient Care Specialist

At St. Mary's Health System, we are seeking a skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team. This role is an essential part of our patient care team, contributing to the well-being and comfort of patients during their stay by providing direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the registered nurse.

Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the registered nurse.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, adhering to infection control standards.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- State Maine CNA Certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- 1 year of experience in Behavioral Health Services.
- College training in mental health technology, behavioral science, social work, rehabilitation therapy, or its equivalent may be substituted for the 1 year of experience.
