Job Summary

Technica LLC is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic QC Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform initial, in-progress, and final inspections on heavy equipment, including military vehicles and construction equipment.
  • Identify and record necessary materials required for maintenance and repairs.
  • Calculate man-hours for maintenance repairs and ensure accuracy.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair complex wiring systems, hydraulics, transmissions, engines, and air and hydraulic brake systems.
  • Conduct final inspections to verify work performed meets standards and work orders are accurate.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems.
  • Utilize hand tools, diagnostic tools, and complex computer systems for advanced diagnostics.
  • Operate material handling equipment as required.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Lead.
Requirements
  • GCSS-Army experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Proficient in using EMS-NG and the Army Enterprise Portal (AESIP).
  • Experienced with the Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC) in order to task work orders using GCSS-Army.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of military vehicles and/or construction equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to locate locally procured parts in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge in completing necessary documentation such as DA Forms 2404/5988E Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet, DA Form 2407 Maintenance Request, DA Form Maintenance Request Continuation Sheet, DA Form 7723 Maintenance Expenditure Limit Waiver, DA Form 461-5 Vehicle Classification Inspection, and other applicable DA/DoD forms.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years.
  • Must have 5+ years' maintenance experience repairing military vehicles and equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Able to function with a basic level of English oral and written language skills.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Able to pick up and move items within a 49 lbs. restriction with a frequent or constant lifting of 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb on equipment in order to perform inspections of engines, transmissions, and other vehicle components.
  • Capable of climbing and working on equipment at 10 feet above ground level.
  • Capable of using and understanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Able to work past normal hours as mission dictates.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior military experience in Military Occupational Skill (MOS) 63B, 63S, 63D, or 91B.
  • Defense contracting experience inspecting and ordering repair parts for military equipment.
