About The Laboratory

Our laboratory at Montrose Regional Health is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and registered by the State of Colorado. Our team of certified medical technologists and technicians work under the supervision of two full-time pathologists, providing a fascinating and dynamic work environment.

About The Career

This role involves performing various chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment of diseases. You will apply techniques in blood banking, hematology, serology, chemistry, and morphological examinations, recording test results, quality control, and remedial action.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing tests and examinations to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment
  • Applying techniques in blood banking, hematology, serology, chemistry, and morphological examinations
  • Recording test results, quality control, and remedial action
  • Engaging in research and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology
  • Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Technologist (MT), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
  • At least 3 months of training in each specialty in which you will perform high-complexity testing
