The laboratory at Montrose Memorial Hospital is fully accredited and staffed by certified medical technologists and technicians under the guidance of experienced pathologists. Our laboratory environment is dynamic, engaging, and essential to patient care.

Role Responsibilities
  • Conduct a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological tests to gather data for disease diagnosis and treatment.
  • Utilize techniques in blood banking, hematology, serology, chemistry, and morphological examinations.
  • Document test results, quality control measures, and corrective actions, while also participating in research initiatives.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences, or medical laboratory technology, or equivalent education and training.
  • Candidates without current certification must successfully complete the ASCP, NCA (MLT), or equivalent exam within six months of employment.
  • Minimum of three months of training in each specialty where high complexity testing is performed, which may include prior employment or educational curriculum.
  • Proficient in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
