About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Insider Risk Management to join our team at Carnival Corporation & plc. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive insider risk management program to protect our organization's assets, intellectual property, and reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Insider Risk Management Program: Design and implement a global insider risk management program that aligns with our organization's strategic goals and risk appetite. Establish policies, procedures, and controls to detect, prevent, and respond to insider threats.
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks posed by insiders, including employees, contractors, and business partners. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks.
  • Lead Investigations and Response: Lead investigations into suspected insider incidents, coordinating with relevant departments and external agencies as necessary. Develop and maintain an incident response plan for insider threats, ensuring timely and effective response to incidents.
  • Collaborate with Security Teams: Collaborate with Security Operations to implement and oversee monitoring systems and tools to detect suspicious activities and behaviors. Work with other security teams to design training programs to educate employees and stakeholders about insider risks and best practices for mitigating them.
  • Ensure Holistic Approach: Collaborate with HR, Legal, IT, and other departments to ensure a holistic approach to insider risk management.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree a plus. Discipline/Major: Bachelor's degree in security management, Information Security, Risk Management, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on insider threat management. Required Certifications: Desired to have one of or more of the following certificates: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor).
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of insider threat frameworks, methodologies, and best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
Work Environment
  • Travel: Less than 25% with non-shipboard travel likely.
  • Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
