Job Summary

The Lemoine Company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, project setup, reconciliation, and allocation processes across various company divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform internal reviews and external reporting for SDI.
  • Manage project setup and intercompany reconciliations and billing.
  • Handle corporate service and workers' compensation allocations.
  • Oversee the accurate entry of staff allocations and service allocation reporting.
  • Record and track staff allocations for joint ventures.
  • Manage prepaid insurance allocations and builder's risk allocations for CDBG.
  • Calculate and review premiums and invoices for P&P, as well as final reporting.
  • Oversee general ledger allocations, amortization, and record depreciation.
  • Manage sales tax reporting, credit card reconciliations, and corporate service billing.
  • Provide backup support for:
    • Accounts payable (inbox, overhead invoices, check run, PVault exports).
    • Payroll processing and deposits/recording of payments.
    • PCard import processing and related reconciliations.

Job Qualifications

  • Previous accounting experience; construction, or a related industry experience a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of full-cycle accounting.
  • Accounting Degree Preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
  • Provide high-level administrative support including research, reporting, processing information requests, preparing correspondence, and other special tasks as needed (at times without existing structure or formal policies).
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism when interacting with multiple members of the organization, vendors, subcontractors, and customers alike.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem solving/troubleshooting ability.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with an attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through.
