Key Responsibilities:

  • Significantly contribute to the monthly closing process by reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Prepare and assess journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses for various corporate functions, including leasing, fixed assets, debt, and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained for audit requirements.
  • Prepare and evaluate key deliverables for both internal and external reporting.
  • Encourage a culture of mentorship, continuous improvement, and training within the corporate accounting team.
  • Develop, inspire, and oversee a high-performing team.
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional teams, including Fleet, Operations, Tax, and other General Ledger teams.
  • Manage critical Sarbanes-Oxley controls and meticulously document review evidence to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
  • Act as a proactive liaison with external and internal auditors to facilitate successful audit processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in team leadership or management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and controls.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and process enhancement skills.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying information to all management levels and external auditors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs for handling large data sets.
  • Previous experience in public accounting is a plus.
  • Experience in a multi-legal entity environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with a Large ERP environment; proficiency in Viewpoint software is beneficial.
