About the Role:

Cairn Partners is seeking a skilled and compassionate Funeral Director to join our team. As a Funeral Director, you will play a vital role in guiding families through the funeral service experience, from coordinating and planning to final disposition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and plan funeral services, including scheduling and logistics
  • Work with families to understand their needs and preferences
  • Ensure accurate completion of certifications, permits, and notices
  • Develop and maintain relationships with funeral homes, event centers, and cemeteries
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices

Requirements:

  • Associate of Arts degree in Mortuary Sciences
  • Ability to complete 1-year Funeral Director internship and 2-year Embalmer internship (if newly licensed)
  • Current PA Life Insurance License (optional, but preferred)
  • Ability to obtain Alcohol Server Permit and Food Handler's Card
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers and technology
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid PA State Driver's License (or ability to obtain one with insurance)
  • Additional language skills (beyond English) are a plus
