Position Overview: Lead Food Service Worker

Occupational Summary

This role entails taking charge of a designated shift within assigned work areas, overseeing work activities, and engaging in various food production and service tasks while adhering to departmental standards under general supervision. Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the assigned shift, ensuring adherence to service standards and completion of work schedules.
  2. Assist management in training staff on proper work techniques and the effective use of supplies and equipment.
  3. Participate in food service tasks, including food preparation and cooking using various equipment.
  4. Manage point-of-sale transactions, including calculating costs and processing payments.
  5. Provide excellent customer service and transport food and supplies to serving areas.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas, including clearing tables and operating dishwashing equipment.
  7. Ensure availability of supplies and report any equipment malfunctions.
  8. Perform general cleaning duties as required.

Qualifications

Education/Training: A partial high school education is generally required to follow instructions effectively.

Experience: A minimum of eighteen months in food preparation or service is necessary. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.

Physical Requirements: The role may involve heavy lifting and the operation of dishwashing machinery.
