Hearable Audio Systems Specialist

Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP) or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a consumer hardware technical setting, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
Proficiency with standard audio measurement and analysis tools (e.g., ACQUA, SoundCheck, Audio Precision, Audition, Matlab/Python). Familiarity with hearable audio systems (e.g., acoustics, transducers, microphones, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and digital signal processing).
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP). At least 7 years of experience in consumer hardware, developing new technologies.
Expertise in the design, tuning, and validation of hearable audio systems, including ANC, transparency, and playback. Experience in both objective and subjective evaluation of hearable audio quality and ANC/Transparency performance.
Knowledge of control theory and ANC.

Compensation:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.
Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, excluding bonus, equity, or benefits.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Product, Acoustic, Algorithm, and Software teams to define and develop hearable audio systems, delivering solutions that meet essential user experiences.
Take ownership of tuning, evaluation, and debugging of hearable audio algorithms, including Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), transparency, and playback.
Become an expert in both objective and subjective testing, developing tools, tuning strategies, and automating new methodologies to launch hearable audio solutions.
Validate and debug audio system software, coordinating algorithm enhancements with developers.
