Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Technician to join our team at Milgard Manufacturing LLC in Prince George, VA. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, excellent communication skills, and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical controls systems in a manufacturing plant
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals
  • Collaborate with other maintenance employees and supervisors to ensure smooth operations
  • Document all work completed and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • Technical or trade school degree preferred, or a combination of a high school diploma or GED plus 2 years of experience in a maintenance occupation in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of industrial electricity and electrical controls systems
  • Working knowledge of energy sources for each piece of utility equipment in assigned area (electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
