Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Care Specialist to join our team at Acuity International. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to children and adolescents in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with routine and daily medical needs of children, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration.
  • Refer children to medical professionals as needed and assist with transfers to specialists or hospitals.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with case managers, mental health providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and support to children on disease prevention, medication management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Requirements
  • Active, valid, and unrestricted license in the state of service.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare, preferably in pediatrics or adolescent medicine.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work full-time hours, including holidays and weekends, and be available for on-call shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare, preferably in pediatrics or adolescent medicine.
  • Experience in emergency medicine, family medicine, or pediatrics.
  • Clinical experience in a residential setting.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to withstand changing environmental conditions and manipulate through construction areas.
  • Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
