Job Overview

The Schemmer Associates Inc. is seeking a meticulous full-time Civil Engineer E.I. to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about civil engineering and are looking for a position that offers career advancement and a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our engineering division, you will operate independently while collaborating with project managers on diverse civil engineering assignments. Your primary duties will include:

  • Creating design drawings and specifications with an emphasis on grading, paving, stormwater management, sanitary sewer systems, site and utility design, post-construction stormwater management, and erosion control.
  • Assisting in the preparation of construction cost estimates.
  • Engaging with local review agencies for permitting processes.

Your strong motivation and attention to detail will be essential for success in this role.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • E.I. certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering design.
  • Familiarity with zoning regulations and processes.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D is desirable.
