Job Summary

The Patient Service Specialist is responsible for corresponding with patients, maintaining the organization of our office, and ensuring that our environment is welcoming, calm, and quiet for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Correspond with patients to ensure their needs are met
  • Maintain the organization of our office, including filing and data entry
  • Ensure a welcoming, calm, and quiet environment for patients and their families
  • Provide assistance to patients and other visitors at the front desk
  • Work independently or as part of a team to achieve goals
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years' experience in a healthcare-related field
  • Familiarity with Athena or Cerner a plus
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
    • Friendly and compassionate disposition
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient records
    • Knowledge of medical terminology a plus
Education and Certifications
  • High School or better
  • MA Certification required
  • CPR Certification preferred
