Manatee County, FL is seeking a skilled Audio/Visual Systems Technician to join our team. As an AV Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, repairing, and maintaining our audio/visual, access control, and security systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and configure IP and analog audio/video sound systems, IP video management systems, access control systems, and security cameras.
  • Troubleshoot issues and problems with all assigned systems both in the field and remotely.
  • Perform emergency maintenance and repair as needed.
  • Install software upgrades and updates for all relevant systems.
  • Monitor servers and databases.
  • Complete all work following industry best practices and in compliance with government regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with vendors, the Information Technology Department, and other stakeholders to coordinate projects and resolve issues with audio and video equipment, security cameras, access control systems, and related networking and cabling.
  • Perform site surveys, document end user needs, and create appropriate solutions.
  • Train end users on new and updated systems and equipment.
  • Establish effective and professional relationships with all relevant system and software vendors.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all end users.
  • Stay current with relevant technology by participating in education opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in other relevant professional development activities as requested by manager.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of relevant work experience in audio/visual, telecommunications, security, or related systems installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Valid driver's license required with valid Florida driver's license required within 30 days of hire.
