Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Managed Care Coordinator to join our team at Tryon Medical Partners. This is a full-time position that will support our Endocrinology and Sleep Medicine team.

In this role, you will assist patients and providers with coordinating referrals, obtaining authorizations, and scheduling. You will also be responsible for understanding benefits coverage and ensuring the patient's care is coordinated.

About the Job
Estimated salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and a thorough understanding of insurance coverage and medical necessity policies. Customer service experience and knowledge of medical records software are also preferred.

The selected candidate must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and work consistently in a fast-paced environment. The ability to concentrate on details and use a computer for long periods is essential.

Responsibilities
* Completes referrals for patients and coordinates with referring and receiving practices and/or departments
* Obtains prior authorizations for medications needed
* Reviews benefits and educates patient on insurance coverage
* Diagnostic testing (Home sleep studies)
* Reviews schedules and confirms schedules are accurate and time is properly allocated
* Follows up on all referrals to ensure no care gaps
* Handles sensitive information in a confidential manner
