Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Bilingual Education Assistant to join our team at Child Parent Institute. As a Bilingual Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting education staff in the instruction, supervision, and training of students aged 12-22 from school districts serving the entire North Bay region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide bilingual support to education staff in the instruction, supervision, and training of students.
  • Assist in creating a trauma-informed learning environment that promotes student engagement and positive behavioral interventions.
  • Contribute to data collection and observation to track student progress towards academic goals.
  • Facilitate age-appropriate interactions, activities, and instruction for all students.
  • Take appropriate action in crisis situations and follow established protocols.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, making copies, and gathering resource information.
  • Prepare meals and snacks for students and maintain a clean and organized learning environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Criminal record clearance, TB clearance, and COVID-19 vaccination required prior to hire.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Walking with students.
  • Prolonged sitting and working on a computer and telephone.
