This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding qualified caregivers.
  • Managing client schedules effectively.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, in-office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accepting new veteran referrals and accurately entering client demographics, service authorizations, and service requirements into the designated scheduling software.
  • Initiating contact with new clients within 24 hours of referral and with staff within one week.
  • Overseeing daily staffing and scheduling of caregivers to optimize client service hours and meet agency performance metrics.
  • Maintaining timely communication with the Director, other Coordinators, and clients regarding any changes in conditions, critical incidents, or schedule adjustments.
  • Assessing client service needs as outlined in service agreements, urgent requests, and care plans.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and completing the onboarding process for new caregivers to fulfill staffing requirements for assigned caseloads. Participation in local job fairs and recruitment activities may be required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in VA Homecare Scheduling and Recruiting is essential.
  • Familiarity with Axiscare or similar scheduling software systems is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to interact effectively at all organizational levels and work collaboratively within a team to support company objectives.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Capable of handling new tasks without predefined procedures.
  • Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
  • Compassionate, caring, self-motivated, and a team player.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
