Job Summary

Hobart Service, an Illinois Tool Works Company, is seeking a skilled Service Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of commercial food equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of commercial food equipment, including cooking, food preparation, ware washers, weigh wrap, baking, and refrigeration.
  • Work with minimal direct supervision at customer sites, typically leaving from home each morning.
  • Meet or surpass weekly productivity and customer-oriented goals while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Requirements
  • An accredited High School Diploma or GED and 4-7 years of similar electrical/mechanical experience.
  • A valid Driver's License and ability to drive multiple hours daily.
  • Ability to work overtime and on-call as required.
  • Ability to attend industry-leading training at our corporate headquarters in Troy, OH.

Physical Demands:

  • Lift up to 75 lbs with or without assistance.
  • Climb up to 10 ft with an A-frame ladder.
  • Occasional roof access may be necessary through extension ladders or fixed ladders greater than 20 feet.
  • Extensive walking 3-5 miles / day.
  • Extensive driving 5-6 hours/day.
  • Kneel, squat, bend, push/pull.
  • Move in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
  • Operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Operate machinery and/or power tools.

Working Conditions:

  • Office facility and customer facilities, including commercial kitchens of various types of businesses.
  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet, dirty conditions may occur.
  • Travel requirement up to 50% of time.
