Position Overview
The Total Rewards team at QinetiQ US oversees all aspects of employee benefits and compensation for approximately 1,400 team members. The Senior Compensation Analyst role is newly established and encompasses all facets of compensation, including the strategy and design of new initiatives as well as the management of existing programs. As the subject matter expert in compensation, you will have the chance to exercise creativity in developing compensation strategies. Your responsibilities will include ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness, and adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role collaborates closely with the business and HR partners to attract and retain essential talent for the organization's success. Reporting to the Senior Director of Total Rewards, this position offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage base pay strategies, policies, and programs, including conducting job evaluations, market pricing, and providing recommendations for design processes. Perform FLSA evaluations.
- Collaborate with the People Data Analyst to oversee job structure management within SuccessFactors, our Human Capital Management system.
- Support annual salary planning, including the submission and management of salary surveys, and provide analysis and recommendations for current roles and overall salary structures.
- Act as the project manager for compensation initiatives, such as annual merit planning, including change management strategies and project plans.
- Build strong partnerships with HR business partners, recruitment teams, and organizational leaders to identify and resolve compensation-related challenges and offer consultative expertise.
- Conduct research, analyze data, and identify trends in compensation while continuously reviewing current practices and policies to ensure best practices are implemented. Benchmark positions against survey data and other market intelligence to establish competitive compensation ranges.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programs and presentations to educate HR business partners and managers on compensation-related topics and initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Five to seven years of progressive experience in compensation.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, charts, graphs, pivot tables, and other advanced functionalities.
- Three or more years of experience with Human Capital Management software (SuccessFactors, Oracle, Workday, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to present and communicate data, analyses, and findings clearly through visual and written formats.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation.
- Experience with Payscale/MarketPay.
- Background in Government Contracting and/or high technology sectors.
- Familiarity with SuccessFactors is a plus.
