Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Illinois. As a key member of our Maternal Fetal Medicine department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation.
  • Set up and adjust equipment, manually maneuver transducers, and implement safety standards to ensure quality control procedures.
  • Perform routine and complex studies, assist in imaging procedures, and recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning, report potential problems or equipment malfunctions, and lock/tag out equipment as necessary.
  • Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS, maintain a clean and orderly department, and comply with regulatory agencies.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography (ARRT) or Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Maternal Fetal Medicine experience highly desired.
  • Fetal Heart Certification highly desired.
  • RMDS certified.
