As a Performance Optimization Engineer, you will work alongside a team of engineers to design, test, and oversee scalable systems within a microservices framework, emphasizing ongoing enhancement and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create tools and frameworks for real-time application performance analysis.
  • Develop automation systems to predict and mitigate potential system failures.
  • Examine source code, profiling data, and system metrics to identify performance challenges.
  • Perform experiments and benchmarks to assess the performance of distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with software teams to pinpoint and rectify performance hindrances.
  • Devise solutions to enhance performance in live environments.
  • Establish performance testing frameworks for both online and offline systems.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to strategize, implement, and oversee performance evaluations.
  • Support the resolution of production performance challenges.
  • Validate product features for deployment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in performance evaluation and large dataset creation.
  • Expertise in developing performance assessments using open-source tools.
  • Familiarity with HTTP client libraries, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with monitoring solutions such as DataDog, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and AWS S3.
  • Ability to collaborate in agile teams and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Experience with CI/CD Jenkins integration, AWS EMR, and Spark SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education & Experience: BS/MS in computer science or a related field.
