Financial Controller

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading our accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Responsibilities:- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and expense management.
- Internal Controls and Risk Management: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- IPO Readiness and Compliance: Support the company's IPO preparation efforts, including the coordination of financial due diligence, SEC filings, and investor relations.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and feedback.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Significant experience (typically 7-10 years) in accounting and finance roles, preferably in the healthcare or biotech industry.
- Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity, overseeing accounting operations and leading a team.
- Ability to think strategically and contribute to the company's overall financial planning and decision-making processes.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to support the company's mission and goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders at various levels.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage a team, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build relationships with external partners.
