Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead our financial management team at Friendly Franchisees Corporation/Silver Star Real Estate LLC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and the development of internal control policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting variances as necessary.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Maintain quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller in the Real Estate industry is required.
- A minimum of 3+ years of combined accounting and finance experience.
- Advanced degree in accounting is required.
- Strong acumen in financial reporting under US GAAP.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Excellent user and administration skills in accounting software.
- Proficiency in financial management systems and the ability to manage the month-end/year-end close processes effectively.
