The Helena Motors Group is seeking a skilled Lube and Tire Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance services on vehicles, ensuring they are safe and reliable for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance services to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Inspect vehicles for additional service needs and report findings to the Service Manager.
- Check and replenish vehicle fluids, including engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, and coolant, to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Replace air filters, wiper blades, and other basic components as needed to maintain vehicle efficiency.
- Operate tire machines, balancers, and other shop equipment safely and efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and in good working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communicate effectively with the Service Manager and Service Advisors regarding vehicle status and any additional work required.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and any recommended future maintenance to build customer loyalty.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in automotive maintenance or tire services is preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of vehicle systems.
- Ability to operate shop equipment and hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to various weather conditions and automotive fluids.
