Job Summary

Sumter Utilities, Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Use functional reasoning and apply rational judgment in performing diversified work activities
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate percentages, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to utilize a variety of advisory data and information

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Tech school for Diesel/Automotive certification
  • Certification in ASE's T-series, CPR, first aid, and forklift certification
  • Class A CDL required
