As a Project Field Engineer, you will provide project field engineering support with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover./ppYour work will contribute to ensuring field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ullibWork Planning & Packaging/b/liulliPrepare construction drawings and sketches./liliInterface in planning construction methods and procedures./li/ullibMaterial Management/b/liulliInitiate requisitions for field purchases./liliPrepare quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment./li/ullibQuantities/b/liulliVerify commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required./li/ullibSafety / Quality Control/b/liulliEnsure zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely./li/ullibTechnical/b/liulliProactively consider continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities./li/ullibSystem Turnover Coordinator/b/liulliDevelop a firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development./li/ullibSTR / Subcontract Coordinator/b/liulliReview and approve inspection test plans./liliCoordinate reviews of subcontractor submittals./li/ul/ulh3Requirements/h3ulliBachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience./liliUS citizenship./liliAbility to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check./liliAbility to obtain a site security badge for access to the worksite./liliPhysical ability to conduct field inspections and participate in project walk-downs./li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulliIn-depth knowledge in the areas of construction, startup testing, and turnover./liliGood knowledge of related construction and engineering practices and the economics involved./liliKnowledge of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria./liliExcellent computer skills./liliExcellent oral and written communication skills./liliExcellent organizational skills./li/ulh3About Bechtel/h3pBechtel is a global leader in engineering, construction, and project management.
