Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality, schedule, and cost
  • Participate in planning, field oversight, inspections, scheduling, general design, design change disposition, and procurement tasks
  • Maintain continuous communication with the Contract Manager, Project Controls Manager, Senior Engineer(s), and Client personnel
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Eligibility to obtain a Professional Engineering registration within six years. Current EIT Highly desired
  • Electrical engineering education
  • Working knowledge of computer software systems for processing Submittals, includes Microsoft office suite and Databases
  • Ability to maintain continuous communication with the Contract Manager, Project Controls Manager, Senior Engineer(s), and Client personnel
  • Must be able to walk long distances over potential rough terrain in all types of typical weather conditions. Exposure to weather elements while in the field is expected.
  • The ability to climb stairs and ladders to inspect work
  • USA citizenship is required (No dual citizenship)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Nuclear project experience
  • Experience with Industrial or DOE projects.
  • NQA-1 experience
  • Knowledge of Engineering and construction practices, and the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications and technical submittals for compliance
  • Subcontract Technical Representative experience
  • Cost and Schedule experience
  • OSHA 10 Hour Construction Training
  • Desire to rotate into design engineering at completion of project at the Oak Ridge, TN office
  • Resides a commutable distance from Oak Ridge, TN

The work location for this position is Oak Ridge, TN. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional travel and exposure to hazardous equipment and machinery.
