Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at ABBTECH Professional Resources. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Electrical activities of our UPF Projects, including interface with client personnel, reviewing design documents, and directing the preparation of quantity listings of field purchased material and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with client personnel (DOE) to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
  • Review design documents for constructability and material takeoffs.
  • Direct the preparation of quantity listings of field purchased material and equipment.
  • Initiate requisitions for field purchases and perform receipt inspections of materials as required.
  • Prepare work packages and assist supervision with the design of temporary construction facilities.
  • Assist supervision with scheduling work activities, interpreting design drawings/documents, and monitoring equipment installation.
  • Coordinate with site management on activities affecting contract administration operation.
  • Review project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule.
Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or similar from an accredited program.
  • 1+ years of experience or 7+ years related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge and experience of DOE, DOD, and/or commercial nuclear construction projects.
  • Self-starter with high motivation, requiring little supervision, and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Good working knowledge of current design codes and standards such as NFPA and NQA-1 requirements.
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance standards required on NNSA/DOE projects.
  • Familiarity with nuclear quality and commercial practice standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent commercial nuclear experience at a Bechtel EPC Project.
  • Recent experience as an Electrical Field Engineer or Area Lead Electrical Field Engineer.
  • Experience in reviewing field drawings/plans of different disciplines and may include P&ID's.
  • Working knowledge of the Bechtel Standard Work Processes Procedures (SWPPs) and the related Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
