As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective use of our CNC machining capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement optimized machining strategies for all parts produced
- Standardize programming and DNC system usage to improve productivity and reduce errors
- Provide training and coaching to production staff on optimal machining practices and safety procedures
- Collaborate with production teams to reduce setup times and improve part quality
- Design and build fixtures within a controlled system to support machining operations
- 5+ years of experience in CNC machining and setup
- Advanced skills in Mastercam and Solid Works
- Experience with DNC systems and precision measurement tools
- Ability to read and understand drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerances
- Knowledge of tooling and inserts, as well as tool wear and offset calculation
- Experience with ERP systems, such as Epicor
- Strong safety knowledge and experience in a company with ISO/AS quality systems
