L.M. Gill Welding & Manufacturing, a leading Naval Defense manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective use of our CNC machining capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement optimized machining strategies for all parts produced
  • Standardize programming and DNC system usage to improve productivity and reduce errors
  • Provide training and coaching to production staff on optimal machining practices and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with production teams to reduce setup times and improve part quality
  • Design and build fixtures within a controlled system to support machining operations
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in CNC machining and setup
  • Advanced skills in Mastercam and Solid Works
  • Experience with DNC systems and precision measurement tools
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerances
  • Knowledge of tooling and inserts, as well as tool wear and offset calculation
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as Epicor
  • Strong safety knowledge and experience in a company with ISO/AS quality systems
