As a Registered Nurse in our Advanced Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Unit, you will be responsible for:
- Completing assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards
- Addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care
- Formulating, coordinating, and providing a plan of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization with members of the interdisciplinary team
- Providing direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure
- Evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions and revising the plan of care based on patient response to interventions
- Initiating collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members and acting to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs
- Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and taking corrective measures in the care and handling of equipment
- Participating in unit-based decision-making regarding the utilization of evidence-based practice
- Actively participating as a team member working toward team goals of the unit and organization and being accountable for unit and system-specific metrics
- Actively participating in patient quality and safety education programs and other activities designed to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Graduation from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania
- Basic Life Support Certification
