Job Title: Advanced Acute Care Trauma Unit Nurse

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Advanced Acute Care Trauma Unit team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve shared goals.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and conducting diagnostic studies as needed.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Participate in unit-based decision-making, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support Certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) and ability to obtain Temporary Practice Permit.
