Dining Room Coordinator

The Blake at Bossier City is seeking a highly motivated and organized Dining Room Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for ensuring that residents have a world-class experience during mealtimes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train new team members on proper dining room etiquette and procedures
  • Ensure an organized process for meal service and tray service
  • Communicate dining needs to the Director of Dining Services
  • Ensure the dining room is clean and set for all meals as per Blake standards
  • Multi-task day-to-day operations of the dining areas, including staff scheduling, coffee shop, and bar area
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales and Activities to coordinate food service for special events
  • Work as a server as needed
Requirements:
  • Caring heart and willingness to serve others
  • Proven management experience and ability to lead a team
  • Knowledge of food handling, dining room, and/or hospitality procedures
  • Two years of experience in dining/restaurant service
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Completion of sanitation course (ServSafe) within 3 months of hire
  • Service-oriented, positive attitude, and neat, professional appearance
  • Ability to multi-task and assist in delivering an overall dining experience for residents
  • Bar Card preferred if applicable to state requirements
  • Willingness to work with the elderly in a senior living environment and prepare food that meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards
  • Knowledge of a POS system preferred
  • Able to be flexible and work a variety of shifts, including holidays, weekends, and special events
