The Banquet Set-up and Clean-up Attendant is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of banquet functions at Marriott Ypsilanti At Eagle Crest. This role involves set-up and clean-up of banquet rooms, monitoring assigned sections during events, and providing exceptional customer service to guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set-up and Clean-up: Prepare banquet rooms for events, including setting tables, arranging linens, and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
  • Event Monitoring: Monitor assigned sections during events to ensure all patrons are served and that the banquet area is maintained in a clean and organized condition.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to guests, including greeting them upon arrival, answering questions, and taking food and beverage orders.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Assist in food production according to menu and number of persons to be served, and ensure that all equipment is stored in the designated area.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain the banquet and hotel standards of food, beverage, and quality guest service, including cleaning and resetting tables, and restocking assigned areas.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Three to six months related experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations, and respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
