Hardware Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer to provide expert analysis and support for complex hardware systems, including design, architecture, and network issues.

This role involves providing expert analysis and support for complex hardware systems, including design, architecture, and network issues, along with procurement and acceptance testing of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploying, installing, and implementing hardware at Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS)
  • Providing preventative and remedial maintenance support
  • Preparing specifications based on system requirements
  • Conducting site surveys and developing engineering plans and Technical Design Packages
  • Organizing installations, configuring computers and networking devices, documenting configurations, and preparing installation and test reports

Requirements:

  • Ability to prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions
  • Experience in analyzing hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components
  • Ability to configure computers, communications devices, and peripheral equipment
  • Experience in preparing installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides
  • Experience in conducting site surveys to assess and document current network configurations and site-specific requirements
  • Ability to prepare engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages, including drawings documenting as-built configurations at each site and site installation and test reports
  • Minimum of seven (7) years experience as a Hardware Engineer analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required OR Twelve (12) years of hardware engineering experience
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
