Job Title: Senior System Engineer

Job Summary:

AT&T is seeking a skilled Senior System Engineer to support the End User Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware engineering and be able to analyze complex hardware systems, design architecture, and troubleshoot technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing hardware engineering expertise to analyze complex hardware systems, hardware design, architecture, network design, and other technical hardware issues.
  • Providing hardware maintenance support, both preventative and remedial.
  • Deploying, installing, and implementing hardware.
  • Looking for ticketing trends and offering solutions.
  • Helping conduct meetings with OEMs and VARs.
  • Preparing specifications for hardware by analyzing documented and derived system requirements.
  • Preparing engineering plans and site technical design packages.
  • Preparing functional and performance test plans based on document requirements.
  • Configuring and documenting computers, networking devices, and various peripheral equipment.
  • Preparing site installations and test reports.
  • Ensuring that problems have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user's requirements.
  • Providing specific input to the hardware components of system design to include end-user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices, and specialized processors.
  • Supporting the Technical Operations Manager with recurring reports (OPR, MPR, and Award Fee).
  • Supporting the End User Services Manager in organizing and prioritizing desktop engineering efforts.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to junior engineers and systems administrators in the performance of daily technical duties.
  • At times, will be called upon to backfill the EU manager during their absence.
  • Providing support in writing Technical Insertions.
  • Coordinating Service Improvement activities (People, Process, Technologies) FACARS and problem management.

Requirements:

  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
  • Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Must be willing to support after-hour activities.
  • Must have a minimum of Security+ certification.
  • In order to be considered for this position, you must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Desired Qualifications:


• User Endpoint support and troubleshooting.


• Requirements analysis and Solution Design.


• Test plan development and execution.


• Creating and maintaining documentation for both end users and system administrators.

Benefits:

AT&T offers a competitive salary range of $108,000 - $180,200 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) plan, tuition reimbursement program, paid time off, and holidays.
