Phlebotomy Specialist

Versiti Inc. is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from donors, interacting with donors and coordinators, and providing exceptional customer service.

• Collect blood samples from donors in a safe and efficient manner.
• Interact with donors and coordinators to ensure a positive donation experience.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Conduct donor screening and mini-physicals to ensure donor eligibility.
• Operate and maintain phlebotomy equipment, including automated blood collection systems.
• Recruit and convert donors for automation.
• Provide post-reaction care and assist other staff in handling reactions.
• Rebook donors for future donation appointments.
• Travel to other local collection sites as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods, general facts and information, and/or the use of simple equipment, machines, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, including Standard Operating Procedures and safety rules.
• Basic mathematical aptitude and ability to apply judgment to written or oral instructions.
• Flexibility to work independently and with a team.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
