At Versiti Inc., we are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from donors, ensuring the highest level of customer service, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from donors using phlebotomy equipment and techniques.
- Perform donor screening and mini-physicals to ensure donor eligibility.
- Operate automation equipment, including Alyx and Trima, to collect blood samples.
- Recruit and convert donors for automation.
- Prepare and pack units for transport.
- Observe donors for reactions and provide reaction care as needed.
- Rebook donors for future donation appointments.
- Travel to other local collection sites as determined by business need.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve department objectives.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of relevant people-facing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods, general facts and information, and/or the use of simple equipment, machines, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, including Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other department manuals.
- Basic mathematical aptitude and ability to apply judgment to written or oral instructions.
- Flexibility to work independently and with a team, with strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
