Building Automation Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled technician to assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our building automation systems. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented individual with a solid understanding of HVAC systems and a commitment to excellence in their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair a variety of industrial instrumentation and control devices.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance inspections and diagnose potential issues.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings related to installations.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.
- Troubleshoot complex telemetry and control system issues, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Program and diagnose PLC and SCADA systems, ensuring optimal performance.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
- An associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- A valid driver's license.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge and Skills
The following knowledge and skills are essential:
- Understanding of electrical and electronic circuits.
- Familiarity with PLC and SCADA software and hardware.
- Ability to safely operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of safe work practices and the ability to identify workplace hazards.
Additional Requirements
This position may require participation in a rotating on-call schedule and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Candidates must be able to pass a government background check for restricted area access.
