Job Summary:

New York Technology Partners is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure backend systems using Java and AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality backend systems using Java and AWS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain scalable and secure APIs and platforms
  • Implement service-oriented architecture (SOA) patterns and microservices
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance with industry standards
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in cloud computing and backend development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant experience with Java and AWS
  • Strong understanding of Agile SDLC methodologies and cloud databases
  • Experience with service implementation using Spring CLI, Maven, Microservice, multi-threading, Concurrency and parallel processing
  • Proficiency in Java, AWS, and cloud databases
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data streaming with SQS, Kinesis
  • Ability to use a CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications on Cloud (preferably AWS)
  • Understanding of cloud databases and NoSQL concepts (DynamoDB, Aurora) including caching (ElastiCache)
