Prisma Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ambulatory team in the OB/GYN department. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
About the Role
- We are looking for a RN who can provide clinical direction for patient care in an ambulatory setting under the supervision of a physician or Advanced Practice Provider.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical competency, utilizing evidence-based practices and research in all areas of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes.
- This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Responsibilities
- Collects data and completes nursing assessments using appropriate standards and tools.
- Triage patient phone calls and manages clinical needs within scope of practice.
- Collaborates with physicians and APPs to develop plans of care for patients.
- Provides direct care to patients in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner, consistent with the established plan of care.
- Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and care delivered.
- Serves as a patient advocate and coordinator of care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- No experience required, but previous nursing experience in an ambulatory setting is a plus.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
