Job Summary

To coordinate and ensure the highest level of care for patients in our OB/GYN clinical area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer oral and injecting medications while maintaining adequate supplies and ensuring secure storage of narcotics according to regulatory standards.
  • Provide ongoing assurance of functional emergency equipment and drug supplies, responding promptly to emergencies and documenting incidents.
  • Develop and implement patient teaching plans for diabetes management, hypertension, anticoagulant therapy, and other designated areas.
  • Set up, perform, and assist with procedures as necessary, prioritizing patient safety.
  • Triage walk-in patients and manage workflow to optimize care delivery.
  • Act as a resource person to LPNs and Clinic Assistants, advocating for patients and resolving issues within the HCT.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an HMO or ambulatory setting, or completion of an Ambulatory Care RN Transition to Practice Residency Program within the past 12 months.
  • Experience with IV therapy is mandatory.
  • Credentials from multiple states are required; Registered Nurse Licenses (Maryland and Virginia) must be obtained within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
