Job Overview

About the Role

This position involves managing a large inventory population of approximately 40k part numbers, valued at $100M annually, with a focus on maintaining high service levels while optimizing supply chain efficiency. Your responsibilities will include analyzing computer-generated reports, manual forecasting, and order decisions for new technology parts with no prior precedence. You'll collaborate with suppliers to improve recovery efforts and lead department activities such as Service Level recovery.

Key Accountabilities
  • Forecast Exceptional Items & Order Exceptional Items. Analyze demand forecast for replacement parts, identify problem areas, and correct them.
  • Project Coordination - Assign involvement in department and / or division projects, communicate/data gather with Honda Japan, Affiliates, and AH Division as needed.
  • Training and associate development of junior associates & contingent staff.
  • Monitor and process DTR's as needed, maintain invoice payments from not being delayed.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, mathematics or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in information systems, inventory control, demand forecasting, purchasing, procurement, supplier performance or relevant education.
  • Advance math, statistical, inventory, forecasting skills and knowledge.
  • Analytical thinking capabilities (problem solving) with excellent communications skill.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office and data mining software knowledge communications skill.
