Cyber Security Operations Expert

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cyber Security Operations Expert to join our team at Oxy. As a key member of our IT Cyber Security Operations team, you will be responsible for conducting cyber security investigations, performing incident triage, containment, and remediation, and analyzing logs and other related data to identify signs of a breach or security incident.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, a minimum of 4 years of experience in Cyber Security with 1 or more years in the Security Operations discipline, and excellent collaboration and project management skills. CISSP, GCTI, or other cyber security related certifications are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cyber security investigations and incident response
  • Analyze logs and other related data to identify signs of a breach or security incident
  • Collaborate with SIEM and EDR SMEs to improve monitoring and detection
  • Perform incident triage, containment, and remediation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Cyber Security with 1 or more years in the Security Operations discipline
  • Excellent collaboration and project management skills
  • CISSP, GCTI, or other cyber security related certifications are highly desirable

Desired Qualifications:

  • Cloud security knowledge and experience
  • Relevant industry experience
