Responsibilities
Team Rehabilitation is looking for a personable and dynamic individual to serve as the essential first point of contact within our clinic. The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy towards patient conditions and possess a willingness to assist, accommodate, and support patients in achieving success in their therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients with a friendly demeanor, verify appointments, and assist with necessary paperwork.
- Facilitate comprehensive communication with patients, healthcare providers, and staff, including necessary follow-ups.
- Manage complex scheduling to ensure patients receive the appropriate number of visits, coordinating with therapists as needed.
- Assist patients with insurance inquiries, explaining benefits and obtaining necessary authorizations.
- Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical and billing record system, following up for additional information when necessary.
- Collect copayments and process transactions in a timely and professional manner, issuing receipts as needed.
- Input data from in-house research accurately, which is crucial for assessing clinic performance.
- Support clinic operations by preparing management information and maintaining clinic supplies and equipment.
- Respect patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy policies.
Additional Tasks: The Patient Administrative Coordinator must be adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment while managing daily reports and responsibilities. This role reports to the clinic director and includes any additional tasks assigned by the clinic director.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a patient-centered healthcare role is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience in customer service roles is beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Basic computer skills are required.
