Join Our Team as a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse

Regions Hospital is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to enhance our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. Your expertise will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care to our patients and contributing positively to our community.

As a leading Level I Trauma Center, we pride ourselves on our ability to save lives, and our nursing professionals are at the heart of the outstanding care we provide. You will have the opportunity to take charge of your clinical practice and work environment through our Shared Governance Model, which emphasizes evidence-based nursing practices.

We offer a comprehensive orientation program, including the Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program, designed to support new nurses in their learning journey, role transition, and long-term retention. The CVICU consists of a 12-bed unit catering to both medical and surgical cardiothoracic and vascular patients.

This includes individuals who have faced acute cardiac and vascular incidents, such as myocardial infarctions, those who have undergone open-heart surgeries, and patients requiring surgical or interventional methods to restore circulation.

Our unit has received national recognition for achieving top-tier patient experience ratings. As a Registered Nurse in the CVICU, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering patient-centered, safe, effective, equitable, timely, and efficient care tailored to the specific needs of our patient population.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Actively participating as a valuable member of the nursing department and unit.
  • Establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with other healthcare professionals across the organization.

Qualifications:
Required:
*Degree in Nursing
*Current Minnesota Registered Nurse License
*CPR or BLS certification for healthcare providers

Preferred:
*BSN/MSN strongly preferred, with an expectation to obtain within 5 years of hire
*One year of acute care RN experience preferred
*ICU RN experience preferred
