Mortgage Loan Originator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Loan Officer Originator to join our team at First Mutual Bank. As a Loan Officer Originator, you will be responsible for originating mortgage loans, HELOCs, and consumer applications, while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Originating Loans: Engage with customers and real estate professionals to originate mortgage loans, HELOCs, and consumer applications, while adhering to bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries regarding loan products and applications, providing timely and accurate information to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Stay up-to-date on government regulations and bank policies, participating in compliance training and ensuring adherence to fair lending laws and bank procedures.
- Underwriting and Decision-Making: Make underwriting decisions on loans within your lending authority, referring exceptions to senior management as needed.
- Vendor Management: Effectively manage service providers and vendors, structuring relationships, setting expectations, and measuring performance.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications preferred. 3-5 years of experience as a Loan Officer Originator required.
- Certification: NMLS certification required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software, with experience in mortgage lending, lending laws, and customer service.
This position requires regular lifting, walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, and use of hands and arms. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required. The work environment is typically quiet to moderate, with flexibility to work outside of an office setting and non-traditional hours.
